A grandmothers love can never be replaced,
she was filled with style and so much grace,
I use to look at her aging face,
knowing I was first in her loving place.
She always had time, to take care of me,
holding me upon her knee.
telling me things about days gone by,
how I reminded her of my mom, and why.
I liked to hear of when she was young,
when life was so simple and so much fun.
Then I grew older, with her I'd share,
my deepest feelings
my deepest despairs,
when I think of these things I swell up with tears,
but grandmother knew how to quell all my fears.
My grandmother is gone,
but her love will shine on,
down through the ages,
like turning the pages,
to my children;
her love I will share.
